Pool Safety Breaks
What is a Pool Safety Break?
Lifeguards blow the whistle, calling everyone out of the water for a 10-minute break each hour. This "pool safety break" isn't just a time-out; it’s a vital pause that ensures everyone stays safe and refreshed. So, let's dive into safety and enjoy the benefits!
What Are the Benefits?
- Allows lifeguards to check for pool issues and water quality.
- Allows parents, guardians, and lifeguards to ensure kids have adults and vice versa.
- Allows parents and guardians time to relax.
- Allows swimmers to rest, rehydrate, use sunscreen, and use the restroom.
The 10-minute break is our chance to rest, reapply sunscreen, grab a snack, hydrate, and relax in the shade. Lifeguards also get to check the pool and catch their breath. These safety breaks make everyone's experience better!
