Architectural Modifications
Our Riverstone governing documents require that the Association approve all proposed architectural changes before any work is started.
QUICK LINKS:
Every homeowner must submit a request to the Association’s Architectural Control Committee (ACC) through the Community Standards Coordinator, Carolyn Felan, when considering a project outside their home that may involve:
- Painting the exterior or trim
- New front door or screen
- Redesigning or installing landscaping, irrigation, and/or lighting
- Rock borders and edging around trees, walkways, gardens, etc.
- Constructing a fence, wall, and/or gate
- Adding a secondary structure
- Installing solar panels or satellite antenna
- Exterior changes not in private zone
ACC Requests need to be submitted before any modification is to be made. To submit an ACC Request, send completed application and a copy of your plat map with the project area marked to Community Standards Coordinator at cfelan@ccmcnet.com.
*NOTE: When planning your project, please consider the timeframe it may take to get your ACC request approved. We strive to have an approval completed within 10 business days and often times it is much quicker. However, certain items may extend the review process (up to 30 days) such as:
- Homeowner plat plan missing or project not drawn in
- Signature or relevant info missing on the application
- Not enough information (location, size, materials used, etc.)
- Projects not in compliance with setbacks and restrictions
To help ensure a quick turnaround, please review your documents carefully, include relevant details about your project and double check you have all necessary items included in your submission. Please utilize our document library and links below to search for guidelines for your project prior to submission and reach out if you have any questions.
Master Covenant section 6.4.5 Failure to Act. In the event that any plans and specifications are submitted to the Riverstone at Westpointe Reviewer as provided herein, and the Rivers tone at Westpointe Reviewer fails to either approve or reject such plans and specifications for a period of sixty (60) days following such submission, the plans and specifications shall be deemed disapproved.
